nice predictions from all of you guys.
for PM cup, i would think that NTU, NUS and SIM will be there. SIM might outperform this year and win NTU?
for ladies PM cup, i would think that NUS would be way ahead of NTU and SIM.

for mens opens, i would think that NTU main team wont be in as they have PM cup which is usually the last event for the day. Likely mens open powerhouses would be SAFSA, Mtbatten.

for ivp mens, maybe NYP and SP? how about NP? or RP?

keep the predictions coming guys, from your pacing sessions during the weekend to gossips here and there  ;)

NTU will remain strong. they have enough rowers to form a PM cup team and a Mens' Open team this year, so watch out for them. without the tertiary category, they can focus their manpower on these 2 races.

SAFSA, SPC, PLK are going CCWC in macau, so they are probably training very hard now; should expect them to peak around SDBF also. and we have seen how SPC blew the competition away in MR500.

so, these are the teams to watch.

in POLITE, RP just isn't the same again since last year. i agree it'll be a NYP vs SP battle.

RP is very fast, my take is on RP for polite. NP always second, SP will have to fight for their 3rd position.

pol-ite

RP has not been consistent. definitely far from the 08 glory batch, but still contenders.

SP has been without real silverware since 2009 SDBF. Alot of hype, but doesnt live up to it. The boat at SRR 08 was probably best, the only boat being able to give the then-magnificent RP a run for their money. Well, that was 2 years ago.

NYP consistently improving, but this SDBF and POL-ITE will be a true test to whether they can fill up their graduated seniors seats, or even make it better.

Ngee Ann stagnant for very long. whilst others are improving/deteriorating, they stay at the same level. probably if they didnt gym so much and paddled more, things would be different.

TP hmm. no one really knows what they could pull off.

ITE(s) would probably be last.

2008 Batch has all gone to Army and many of them had joined SAFSA.
Now we have to see if all poly teams are able to make history without their seniors.

SP
has not been standing on the podium for quite a while since 2008.
RP was strong with their seniors back then but it seems like they aren't performing now.
TP and NYP is somehow the next two teams to look out for.
NP...i wonder how they will perform this coming SDBF.

Will NUS win NTU for PM CUP?
Why not make PM CUP (OPEN)?

That will be nice! So this year we get to see NTU mens team in the Mens opens unlike last year. then we can really judge who is the true champion of Singapore. I am sure SAFSA wont disappoint. SPC and PLK will also be a tough fight. will SAFSA defend their national champion mens opens title from last year with NTU competing this year? Going to be a very interesting grand finals :)

We have all spoken about PM cup mens. any views or predictions on the Ladies PM cup this year? :)

RP has not been consistent especially without all their seniors.
Their good MR 500 performance was just a one off fluke as they crashed out very quickly in PA paddles after that and did not even make finals for Gallop.

SP and NYP are my favourites but there is still TP who appeared out of nowhere to win Gallop tertiary in front of SP and NP, think maybe TP has something up their sleeve.

as for NP. they are probably going to be 2nd last.

No, i doubt NUS will clinch it.
The PM Cup will lose its meaning if it were an open event.
