I think he mean

Event 33:

12:50 MR500 Men 20 Crew Event 33 Heat 2
Lane Team Name Position Timing
1 Neophytes
2 Punggol Central CSC
3 Nanyang Polytechnic
4 American Dragons
5 SDBA Selection
6 Punggol East CSC Naga 'B'

Event 40:

15:00 MR500 Tertiary/JC Women 12 Crew Event 40 Heat 1
Lane Team Name Position Timing
1 NTU
2 NYP
3 RP
4 NUS

hmm indeed the Women's Tertiary heats looks tough. with the strongest poly teams against the strongest uni teams. but i think the Men's Opens heat is a no fight at all, dunno which team will even come close to SDBA Selection, it just doesn't make sense for a national team in a local race. oh wells, hope there'll be an upset then.

Yes, there might be a chance of an upset. After all the national team comprises of humans. Humans make errors and because of that, there is room for an upset. I think it would be an experience to see them or row beside them. We might be able to pick up something.

i got a feeling the neophytes might pose a huge challenge to the sdba selection, leh.
that is of course if the neophytes are the canoeing n-team right?

SDBA Selection is the National Team. My frens in the team told me that they're using the MR500 to test their new paddling style in a bonafide racing environment.

And so for all those teams that will face them, take pride that you are actually helping our National Team in their development. Should they go on to win at the International level, we all can proudly say that we had a hand in their development. The National Team belongs to the nation and not just on a mere allegiance to a particular club. For once, here is a team that all of us can put a stake in.

Lets see how good they are.
