the silver pattern looks like the forked spear to me...

I think Kanoe Sports in Singapore is distributing the Merlin Paddle. Heard that it costs only S$250!

well.. what many from my team does is to simply wax the paddles. Not much weight added on but improves the grip tremendously. Its darn cheap too. Not wise to sand paper away.

Oh.. then there was this thread about paddle length.. I guess the stroke/ technique matters as well so there is no standard guideline for paddle length?

Racquet grip increases your paddle weight substantially. Not very advisable. 50g difference matters. hah

if you're using a grey-owl, i doubt the racquet grip will add significant weight. did the same for my grey-owl when i start off.

upgraded to a carbon, and for this obviously u don't put a racquet grip cos it'll double the weight easily. =) i use black tape now. simple. cheap. learnt from army no less.

Any suggestions on how to personalize the paddles?

Better yet, show me how YOU do it!

i don't have a photo of my paddle but i guess i'll share how i'd zhng my paddle then. i think the zhnged paddles you see are those with waterproof stickers that are available in any car accessory shops.

i recommend one that is in bugis village. it's at the first floor the first or second shop on the left row of shops after the staircase/escalator area.

they have wide variety of stickers from crumplers to transformers to ones that you won't wanna see on your paddles in many clolurs. lol. oh, they also do custom made stickers (if you want team paddle stickers that is. (:) but take at least 3 days to one week before you can collect it.

all stickers is SGD$4

the quality isn't that bad. had my silver crumpler one for a few months and it's still here(: maybe i'll upload a photo of my paddle soon!
