You can sand the lacquer away, thus exposing the wood to the elements. You now have water seeping into the wood grain, making your paddle the equivalent of the heavy SDBA waterlogged paddles...hmm...think I'll just go buy some more tennis wrap... :lol:

doesnt really happens that way. my paddle looks jus like the new ones, jus that the lacquer is gone. anyway my paddle belongs to the sch. lol!

Thanks for the welcome!  My rec team only competes within California (I wish we could travel to China!)

Merlins are IDBF Spec 202a.
