Kayak use for fishing, is to get to those special fishing places, that you can not reach from shore, on land, or by any other boat.
Usually smaller game fish, like Steelhead, and Bass are fished for,,,, thinking that the smaller ones don't upset the boat (kayak), when hooked.
I mean why would a fisherman use a special designed inner tube to stand in to fish from, if it was not to try to catch the ultimate "big" one, in an otherwise unaccessable watery place !
The problem with an inner tube type boat is that you can not out run a snake , ect.,,, that might be headed for you, thinking that you are just a small island, and worthy of a "look see" landing !!!!
